Good luck in the digital age! and Let’s all live in the 21st century are two works by the Kazakhstani, Oslo-based artist Ayatgali Tuleubek, presented in the foyer of Kunstnernes Hus in January 2021. Made of archival prints on electroluminescent panels, the works seem to be contesting the promises of the internet and the power of a global digital age, whilst ironically cheering and encouraging a positive attitude towards technology. This dualism creates an underlying ambivalence and questions how much technology has failed at its pledge, yet remains the century’s essential and uncontested driving force.
The presentation was initially planned for November 2020 coinciding with Tuleubek’s solo exhibition at UKS You Will Meet at Bird With Strange Feet (07.11.-20.12.2020), but had to be postponed.
