Film program: Carl Johan De Geer

Carl Johan De Geer is a popular multi-artist from Sweden who has had an active career as a painter, musician, writer, photographer, scenographer and filmmaker. He stems from a noble family and in several of his films takes up the taboos and secrets associated with his own upbringing.
We will be screening Med kameran som tröst (2004) and three short films by De Geer.
About the director
Carl Johan De Geer (b. 1938) was born in Montreal, Canada and has been living in Stockholm since 1951. He is a popular multi-artist in Sweden and for over 60 years has had an active careeras a painter, musician, writer, photographer, scenographer and filmmaker. In recent years he has exhibited at the Fargefabrikken in Stockholm, the Bildemuseet in Umeå and the Norrköping Art Museum. De Geer stems from a noble family and in several of his films takes up the taboos and secrets associated with his own upbringing.
