About the film
Tauba is a film about a group of artists in residence in the small coastal town. Susanne is visiting with her two daughters, and starts a new collaboration with the dramaturg Tor. Her daughters gets involved in a new performance project by choreographers Toon and Thomas, while the artist couple Viktor and Damla is making a video about a troll in the forest. In a visually playful way, we get to experience how these artists work on their environmental projects.
With actors Anna Katharina Haukeland, Håkon Mathias Vassvik, and artists Damla Kilickiran, Viktor Pedersen, Toon Van Borm, Thomas Voll and Kjetil Berge. Produced by Se Nå, by producers Shahrukh Kavousi and Yngvar Christensen.
About Camilla Figenschou
Camilla Figenschou (b. 1978, Lofoten) is a filmmaker and visual artist educated from Konstfack in Stockholm, Film Studies at Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires, and at Nordland College of Art and Film. She works mainly with narrative film and photography. In 2010 she debuted with her first short film The beginning of no night. To open, to see (2012) was widely shown internationally, and won the prestigious Terje Vigen award at the Grimstad short filmfestival in 2012. In 2016 she shot her first feature length film Bow and Arrow.
About Kim Hiorthøy
Kim Hiorthøy (b. 1973) is an artist with education from the art academies in Trondheim and Copenhagen. He has long experience as a graphic designer and illustrator, but has also worked as a musician and film photographer. In 2017 he made the feature film The Rules for Everything, which was screened at Norwegian cinemas. In 2019, he published the book "Finished cover is coming soon", a collection of design and illustration work from 1994 - 2019. He has also studied choreography and worked in performing arts.
