05.10.19 – 12.10.19

We have the pleasure of showing Jorunn Myklebust Syversen's latest film Disco, which premiered at this year's Toronto International Film Festival. The film shows a disturbing look at contemporary Christian cults through the eyes of teenager Mirjam (Josefine Frida Pettersen).

Om filmen

Do you believe in God? - A question that the 19-year-old Mirjam keeps asking herself. Mirjam is the reigning world champion in disco and freestyle dance and a committed member of the free church Friheten, led by her preacher stepfather. When she collapses on the dance floor during a championship, she begins doubting both herself and her faith. Looking for answers, she decides to join a summer camp led by a more conservative Christian congregation.
