Steinar Haga Kristensen: PANSOCIALDEVELOPMENTCENTRAL & PARASOCIALAWAKENINGAPPARATUS

In the exhibitions, Haga Kristensen explores ideas around similarity, difference, and repetition through a series of doubled works. The artist has previously worked extensively with paired works and doubling as an artistic method, which takes on a new dimension at Kunstnernes Hus, with works created for the paralleled architecture. The exhibitions include a wide range of artistic expressions: paintings, etchings, textiles, photography, ceramics, utilitarian objects, mosaics, video, computer games, and musical theatre. On view from 09.05.–03.08.25.

Hold\ MFA Graduation Show 2025

The graduating students at the Academy of Fine Arts – Oslo National Academy of the Arts present their master's projects at Kunstnernes Hus. The exhibition combines diverse practices ranging from fictional audio guides and large scale paintings, to 35 mm slide projections of permafrost. An exhibition architecture of building materials – netting, plastic, rods from scaffolding – connects the work of the 19 artists, as they attempt to navigate the labyrinthine spaces of Kunstnernes Hus. On view from 05.06.–30.07.25.
